Storyline
An infant, adorned in golden jewelry, was abandoned in a garbage dump. Two mischievous boys found the baby, initially tempted by greed. However, the baby’s cries stirred Lok’s compassion, leading him to care for the child with all he had. Wai, on the other hand, stole all the gold and got rid of the infant. A mysterious cleaning lady appeared, returning the lost infant, leaving the gold turned into rocks. Despite losing the treasure, the two cared for the baby endured. Unable to provide a better life, they found the child a safer place with their bless.
Director Statement
Birth is inherently beautiful, yet it culminates in death, and living is merely accumulating fear of that end. Two mischievous boys escape life's suffering until they encounter an abandoned baby. The proximity of life and death compels them to lend a helping hand, vigilantly caring for the infant overnight. Manifested by a mysterious janitor, these seemingly ugly villains reveal their pure hearts. This fantastical night, rich in allegory, aims to boldly question life and death, urging us not to overlook small acts of kindness, while letting go of greed, anger, and ignorance.
