In 1977, the city of Zhongli in Taiwan was thrown into turmoil due to a chaotic election. Photographer Hsien-Ying met Taekwondo coach Kim Ho-hee from Korea amidst the confusion. Since Kim didn’t speak Chinese, they relied on their mutual friend Hong-Guo for translation, and the three quickly became close, often going out together for photography sessions.

The grasshopper, spider, and butterfly have been transported to a concrete jungle. A series of remarkable adventures compel them to explore their identities, fostering within them a sense of self-esteem before they can finally return home. The journey imbues them with resilience and joy, enabling them to carve out their own future.
