Case Study
Storyline
In 1977, the city of Zhongli in Taiwan was thrown into turmoil due to a chaotic election. Photographer Hsien-Ying met Taekwondo coach Kim Ho-hee from Korea amidst the confusion. Since Kim didn’t speak Chinese, they relied on their mutual friend Hong-Guo for translation, and the three quickly became close, often going out together for photography sessions. As their bond deepened, Kim encouraged Hsien-Ying to enter a photography competition in Hong Kong and invited her to Hehuan Mountain to capture the snow. However, Hsien-Ying hesitated, as she had never seen snow before and was uncertain about their future. Eventually, she decided to take the risk, but on her birthday, she got lost and missed the chance to meet Kim.
